Where is the Companion Teaching Kitchen?

The Teaching Kitchen is located in our new Maryland Heights Campus at 2331 Schuetz Road, St. Louis, MO 63146.

What should I wear?

All students should wear comfortable clothes that they don’t mind getting a little dirty. For hands-on classes, closed toe shoes are required, and we ask that long hair is pulled back.

Will we eat during class?

Snacks will be provided at the beginning of each class. There will also be an opportunity to sample everything made during class.

Can I bring my child with me to class?

Adult classes are 17+, but children as young as 14 may attend if accompanied by an adult.

What if I have to cancel?

If you need to cancel or make any changes to your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible. We will be happy to offer you an exchange, class credit or refund up to 7 days prior to your class. After 7 days before your scheduled class, we will offer an exchange or class credit. Any changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice will not be eligible for any exchanges, credits or refunds.

Do you provide aprons?

All students for hands-on classes will be given an apron to wear during class.

Should I arrive early?

You may arrive up to 15 minutes prior to the start time of your scheduled class. If our cafe is open, you are welcome to come early, reserve a seat and wait in the cafe space.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or make any changes to your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible. We will be happy to offer you an exchange, class credit or refund up to 7 days prior to your class. After 7 days before your scheduled class, we will offer an exchange or class credit. Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather conditions or forecasts, the Teaching Kitchen Manager will determine whether or not to cancel a class. We will make every effort to conduct scheduled classes. If we are forced to cancel a class, we will contact you as soon as possible and issue a full refund.

Teaching Kitchen Policies

  • We ask that all cell phones be turned off or silenced during class time. If you need to make a call, please step out of the classroom to do so.
  • Companion reserves the right to substitute instructors, recipes or menu items as necessary.
  • Adult classes are 17+. Children ages 14+ may attend if accompanied by an adult.
  • Payment is required at time of registration.
  • Enrollment is on a first-come basis.
  • If a class is sold out, you may add your name to the waiting list and will not be charged for the class. If a seat becomes available, everyone on the waiting list will be notified by email. The open seat(s) will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
