That’s been our recipe since we pulled the first loaves out of our stone ovens in 1993. We’ve always had a knack for weaving the finest ingredients into uniquely crafted breads and pastries. At Companion we pride ourselves on baking bread the old fashioned way – from traditional European recipes using all natural ingredients from local suppliers. Bread that takes days to make, not hours.
We bake bread with a purpose to nourish the 4C’s – our companions, our customers, our community and our company. By engaging and empowering our team, we’re working together to discover ways to improve the quality and sustainability of our products and processes. To guide our journey, we have committed to achieve zero waste (90% waste diverted from landfill) at our factory by 2025. And we’re off to a great start – we have reduced our annual waste by over ONE MILLION POUNDS! Coupled with the recycling and composting programs we’ve implemented, we’ve reduced our landfill contribution by 76%.
